Looking to deck out your room with some décor, add a few essentials to your kitchen cabinets, and grab a lunch of Swedish meat balls in the process? Book your ticket and tag along on our coach for an afternoon of shopping at IKEA, where a complimentary gift bag will be waiting for you!

Get excited for a chill social evening for international students and those who love them! Think karaoke, good vibes and loads of chances to meet your new besties. Feel free to come along with your house-/classmates or on your own – all UCB Freshers are welcome.
If you’re not a resident at the Maltings, please indicate this when you book. A Guild staff member will welcome you at the gates and walk you to the Hideaway. You must leave the premises before 11pm, unless you have previously filled out the overnight form together with the resident who will host you.

Where: The Hideaway, Maltings
Come dressed as your course and bring the energy to the Hideaway (Maltings) for a night of next-level creative looks, great vibes, and a soundtrack served fresh by local DJ and drag legend Misfit. Whether you’re a future chef, business entrepreneur, physio, aesthetician, digital designer, engineer, or baker – whip up your most iconic course-inspired costumes!
When it’s closing time at the Maltings, you can keep the party going at the Dress As Your Course club night at O’Neill’s Broad Street from 10pm: Get your course crew together, dress to impress, and make it a night to remember. Free entry if you have our Freshers Wristband.

Where: Cadbury World, Bournville
Join us for a sweet Freshers’ trip to Cadbury World on 7th October and explore Birmingham’s chocolatey history! 🍫
Tickets are just £11 – that’s cheaper than Cadbury World’s student ticket price.
Choose the Cadbury World + Train option for £14 to travel to Bournville together from Birmingham New Street as a group. Please note that the walk from Bournville Station to Cadbury World is around 15 minutes. We will send the exact train information around nearer the time, but expect to meet at New Street Station at around 12.10pm.
If you do not select the Cadbury World + Train option, we expect you make your own way to Cadbury World and meet the rest of the group out front by 1pm.
Ticket sales close on 20th September as we have to book in our group – don’t miss out, get yours now!
The visit to Cadbury World is for students over 18 only.
