Speak Week 2025

This year, UCB Guild of Students is relaunching Speak Week! Speak Weak 2025 will be dedicated to gathering student feedback, understanding the quality of learning and student experience and supporting our members to help shape the Guild’s priorities.

The themes of this year are the following;
1) Quality and learning experience
2) Academic support and feedback
3) Learning resources
4) Community
5) Campus facilities and expectations

We’ll be delivering a range of in-person activities both in Moss and McIntyre House, as well as in Summer Row. You could find the schedule below;

Monday 17/11/2025

Grill your Full-Time Elected SU leaders
A panel session where students can ask questions about officers’ manifestos and annual plans. Students will be given an opportunity to respond to students and take a lead on some of the things that they would like officers support on.

Tuesday 18/11/2025

Media filming
Our full-time elected officers will be walking around campus interviewing students. They will ask students what their expectations were before joining UCB, what their actual experience was, and how we can evolve and improve those experiences. We will capture this on video to share on our social media platforms and website.

‘What Matters to YOU as a UCB Student’ stall
The Guild of Students will have stalls in McIntyre House and Summer Row, where they will ask students what they think matters to them and why. This is your opportunity to tell your stories as a student and make your case for what you think needs imporiving.


THURSDAY 20/11/2025

Meet the UCB Decision Makers
A panel session where students will be given the opportunity to ask questions to key UCB decision makers, and to learn more about what is happening across the University and College.
Time: 15:00-17:00 pm

Pledge Board
An interactive board outlining Guild Values, where students and staff can make pledges. This will take place in McIntyre House and will be set up throughout the day!
